Ben Hill Roofing & Renovations Gives Back to the Community

    

Ben Hill Roofing & Siding Co., Inc. is celebrating their 50^th Anniversary this year by giving back to the Community.  Owner David Welch said “We met as a team late last year and we were brainstorming on ways to celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of the Business that my Father Carroll L. Welch started 50 years ago after his military service and career as an Atlanta Fireman. We all agreed that we could best honor my Father and his guiding principles and integrity that he built our business on by giving back to the Community.”

Ben Hill Roofing installed a new roof free of charge for a family in need in the first quarter of 2014 and they are doing the same for a local Church in the second quarter of this year.  They also plan to do one or two more roofing or exterior renovations jobs free of charge this year.

Ben Hill Roofing and Renovations is accepting nominations now for “Ben Hill’s Bravest” The plans are to honor a First Responder or a man or woman who is serving or who has served our Country honorably as a member of the U.S. Military.

Did you know that new energy efficient windows could save you as much as 30 % on your utility bills every month??

Example: If your utility bill averages $250.00 per month 30 % would be a savings of $900.00 per year.

Every situation is different and although efficiency is the main purpose for windows, you do have to take in to account for comfort and the look you desire. Energy standards are changing every year due to the green movement. Current energy efficient windows are required to achieve an R 5 value. A few years ago, R 5 was the best upgrade offered on a window. Also, keep in mind that 50% of the efficiency for the window can be lost in the installation. Make sure you hire a qualified installer! A little about us & our history

Our founder Carroll L. Welch, started an apprenticeship in roofing and sheet metal in the summers of the 1940's in the New England area. After being transferred to Ft. McPherson during the Korean War conflict he met his beautiful bride, Ezma, who was from Georgia.

After the war, he continued roofing while working as a City of Atlanta Fireman. In 1964 he resigned from the City of Atlanta and started Ben Hill Roofing and Siding Co., Inc. in the Ben Hill business district which is located in southwest Atlanta. He continued to be the driving force in the reputation of Ben Hill until his death in 1984. Upon his death, son, David L. Welch became President and continued to grow the company using his father’s guiding principles and integrity. Today, Ben Hill Roofing is known as one of Georgia’s most successful commercial roofing businesses.
